Ireland Sees Another Fall In Live Register Figures

In the midlands, the number of people signing on dropped by just over 300.

The number of people on the Live Register fell once again by 0.2% across the country.

In the midlands, there was a drop of over 300 people signing on.

The highest figure remains in Westmeath, at over 3,900, followed by 3,200 in Laois.

In Offaly, there has been a 0.4% increase in the number of people on the register in the year to April, with the current figure at 3,175.

The national total of people signing on for last month stands at over 169,000.
