A nurse in a midlands hospital has been awarded for her research.
Clinical Nurse Manager in the emergency department in Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise, Clare Slevin Walsh, has been awarded the CJ Coleman research prize at the INMO's annual delegate conference.
She was a recipient of one of the three annual member prizes, winning with her project 'The introduction of 4AT to an Emergency Department'.
Other winners included nurse Majella Neeson in Letterkenny University Hospital, who won the INMO’s Preceptor of the Year award, and Assistant Director of Nursing Ann-Marie O’Reilly and Clinical Nurse Manager Eileen Colgan of St Michael’s House, Dublin who received the Gobnait O’Connell award.
INMO Director of Professional Service Tony Fitzpatrick says: "Nursing and midwifery are professions where people can demonstrate excellence and extraordinary commitment on a daily basis."
