The Annual Carmelite Auction in Moate
The Annual Carmelite Auction in Moate takes place on Sunday 27th April. Donations such as good furniture, bric-a-brac, clothes, handbags, farm machinery, silage, hay, turf, timber, books & unwanted gifts can be dropped to the Carmelite Shop Moate (located beside the Carmelite church), or call 090 64 81160 to arrange collection of larger items.

Collins McNicholas are organising a ‘WALK IN PINK’ for The National Breast Cancer Research Institute. Meeting at Radisson Blu, Athlone at 10.30am on Mother’s Day - Sunday 30th March. Walking the Golden Mile’, over the bridge, along the Shannon and then loop back and return back via the Castle (approx.. 5km). Register on line at: walk in pink.ie or on the day.

The Carmelite Church, Moate ‘Three Wednesdays in Lent’
The Carmelite Church, Moate ‘Three Wednesdays in Lent’ services concludes on 9th April at 8pm with a Taizé prayer service. Taizé prayer services are meditative, ecumenical Christian prayers, led by students from Moate Community School. During the season of Lent, daily Mass will take place at 10am & 7.15pm.
