Delia Smith has added deep-fried jam sandwiches to the menu in one of her restaurants after tasting it in a chipper two years ago.
The UK chef first found it in Eric's Fish and Chip Shops.
The way to make it is to use good quality jam, sweet white bread, butter the outside, cut off the crust and cover it in a batter before it's frozen and ready to be deep-fried.
