It's official- women are far more likely to gossip than men.
A study in the Journal of Experimental Social Psychology found men were far less eager to share negative information than women.
However there is little difference between the sexes when it comes to gossiping about positive information.
Researchers say women have a greater satisfaction with their levels of disclosure than men and enjoy gossiping more.
