Westmeath still has the highest number of people on the scheme.
1,400 fewer people in the midlands will receive the pandemic unemployment payment tomorrow compared to last week.
The Department of Social Protection is issuing the payment to 19,900 people in the region this week.
That includes 7,900 in Westmeath, and 6,000 each in Laois and Offaly.
The national figures stands at 439,000 this week, down almost 23,000 on last week.
The top three sectors in which people are returning to work this week are retail, food and accommodation, and construction.
