A Westmeath woman is aiming to bring the issue of reducing financial strain for cancer patients to the Dáil.
Over 15,000 people have signed an online petition started by Mullingar's Dympna Little.
The petition focuses on redistributing a €500 grant for wigs provided by the HSE directly to patients rather than local hairdressers.
Mullingar's Dympna Little started the campaign after her mother Lily passed away last month from cancer, and has raised the issue with Sinn Féin TD for Longford- Westmeath Sorca Clarke.
Ms Little says she's planning for it to coincide with the Irish Cancer Society's Daffodil Day:
