2024 Set To Be Hottest Year On Record

EU scientists say temperatures will be more than 1.5 degrees higher than pre-industrial times.

This year is set to be the hottest on record, due to warmer oceans.

Excess heat is being absorbed quicker, and released slower on surfaces like the Pacific Ocean, leading to what's called an "El Nino."

It comes as EU scientists say temperatures will be more than 1.5 degrees above pre-industrial times - for the first time ever.
