96% of those were small or medium enterprises, with the food and drink sector dominating the figures, accounting for six in ten of the total in the region.
56% of the participants in the midlands last year were men, with the largest portion of them in their 30s.
Overall, 25,000 training days were delivered by Skillnet Ireland in 2022.
