Offaly's William Edgill says he originally laughed off the idea when it was was first put to him by a clergywoman in Dublin, but after much deliberating, he decided to go for it.
Mr. Edgill has now spent the past two and a half years getting involved in the Ministry, and hopes to have a better idea of how long the process will take in the next year.
But, he says his trying to be patient:
