Request For Recheck Of Votes In Westmeath Has Been Withdrawn

A Sinn Fein Candidate, asked for the ballots for the 7th count to be rechecked in the hope of avoiding eliminated.

A request for a recheck of the votes in Westmeath has been withdrawn.

Sinn Féin candidate, Conor Dowling Linehan initially asked for the ballots for the 7th count in the Athlone area to be rechecked in the hope of avoiding eliminated.

He was just one votes behind the Green Party Louise Heavin. 

He says he initially thought re-checking the 329 ballots would make a difference:
