An Annual rise in apprenticeships could benefit housing developments.

A Offaly auctioneer says the incoming government committing to an annual increase in construction apprenticeships could quickly solve the housing crisis.

The new Programme for Government is promising 12,700 new apprenticeships every year up to 2030.

The coalition of Fianna Faíl, Fine Gael and the Regional Independents has also set a target of 300,000 new homes by then.
