Nearly all of the applications for a scheme to help businesses with their energy bills have been approved in the midlands.
Out of 1275 applications for the Temporary Business Energy Support Scheme in the region, 1261 were approved, for a combined value of over €1.7 million.
The measure allows businesses to claim 40% of the increase in their energy bills between last September and this month.
