An Offaly TD Is Calling For The N52 Link road Development

Funding for the project was withdrawn in 2023. 

It would be 2032 before the N52 Link road is delivered, if it got the green light today.

That's the call from Offaly TD Tony McCormack who is making the long campaigned for development in Durrow his first issue as deputy in Leinster House.

Along with underlining the long-standing safety issues, the Fianna Fail rep believes the Durrow High Cross Committee's plans for a centre highlighting monastic elements, such as the Book of Durrow will be stalled until construction begins on the intersection.
