Some members of the public are opposed to the location of the plant.
Doubts have been cast over plans for a new food processing facility in the midlands, following an appeal to An Bord Pleanála.
Westmeath County Council granted permission to Lurgan Foods for the new facility in Tubberclair last month, despite receiving eight objections from local residents.
Under the plans, the plant would replace existing stables - but locals claim the development is unsuitable in such a remote location.
The independent planning board is set to make a decision by 5th September.
