Asylum Seekers Accommodated In Midlands Fallen By 3%

There are currently more than 32,000 IPAs staying across 320 centers in the country.

The number of asylum seekers being accommodated in the midlands has fallen by almost 3% since the end of September.

There are currently 1,757 International Protection Applicants living in the region.

The highest number is in Westmeath at just under 800, while in Offaly there are close to 500 and Laois has 467. 

There are more than 32,000 IPAs staying across 320 centers in the country, over 8 thousand of which are children.
