Asylum Seekers In Midlands Dropped By 30

The latest figures from the Department of Integration show a decrease in the last month.

The number of asylum seekers in the midlands has dropped by 30 in the last month.

Towards the end of October the number stood at 1,730, but the latest figures from the Department of Integration show just over 1,700 currently residing in the region.

There are currently 324 International Protection Applicants centres around the country, 5 of which are tented accommodation.

There are over 32,000 IPAs, over 8,000 of which are children.
