There's a toxic seam running through Sinn Féin and the party harbours middle management "attack squads" who target people they don't like.
That's according to Brian Stanley, who is now an Independent general election candidate in Laois.
The former Chair of the Public Accounts committee says he was called to a meeting where it was suggested that four people were to be forced out of the party.
Mr Stanley says he refused to take part in that plot and has since suffered the consequences.
He'll be campaigning on the need to improve disability and autism services in the forthcoming election.
