Fire services in a midlands town need to have better facilities to work in, according to a former fireman.
John King, who is also a local Fine Gael councillor in Rathdowney, is calling for a progress to be made on a new fire station in the area, as the current building has been in operation for nearly 70 years.
He says a site beside the current station has been acquired by the local authority and he wants to see movement on it in 2024:
