Cabinet Approves Bill Aimed At Short Term Letting Regulation

Enterprise Minister and Longford Westmeath TD Peter Burke says a balance needs to be struck.

Cabinet has approved a new bill aimed at regulating short-term letting.

It would ban planning permissions for the likes of Air BnB properties in towns with a population greater than 10 thousand.

It had previously been delayed after some ministers raised concerns about the impact of the bill on tourism.
