A Laois Local Election Candidate says more could be done with levies and taxes.
More pressure should be put on people who are 'hoarding' derelict properties.
That's according to Local Election Candidate for Portlaoise Rosie Palmer, who wants to see more done with the collection of dereliction levies and the possible introduction of a vacancy or dereliction tax.
Ms. Palmer says while building new homes is vital, making sure they are in the right location is also important.
