Carol Nolan Retains Her Dail Seat In Offaly

Two seats are still left to be filled.

Offaly has elected its first TD. 

Independent Carol Nolan has been returned to the Dail after passing the quota of 9,347 on the fifth count.

Independent Eddie Fitzpatrick has been eliminated. 

Two seats are still up for grabs, with three names still in the running.

Fianna Fail's Tony McCormack is on 7,929 - 1,418 shy of the quota. 

Less than one 100 votes are separating Fine Gael's John Clendennen, who is slightly ahead of Aoife Masterson of Sinn Fein. 

Counting is continuing in Birr tonight.
