A Clonard teenager, who had his scoliosis operation cancelled at the last minute earlier this week, has been scheduled for surgery tomorrow.

Eoin Ward has been on the waiting list for two years and was due undergo the operation on Monday in Temple Street.

However, despite being prepared for theatre, it was decided it couldn't go ahead as the ICU unit was one nurse short.

The hospital called his mum Catriona today with the new appointment.
