A large number of units in large scale housing developments are currently under appeal or review.
The construction sector want to see more resources given to speed up the An Bord Pleanala and judicial review process.
It comes as the Construction Industry Federation says the number of units in large scale housing developments subject to appeal or judicial review is escalating.
Currently, an appeal to the planning authority can take up to two years, and a review can take 18 months to two years.
