Government Needs To Listen To Taxi Drivers - Boxer Moran

Figures show a drop in the number of taxis in Ireland.

Abuse and costs are two major contributing factors to many people leaving the taxi sector, according to a Westmeath driver.

It comes as The Taxis for Ireland Coalition is appearing before the National Transport Authority's Small Public Service Vehicle Advisory Committee today.  

New figures show the number of taxis nationwide has declined by 10%, despite an increase in the Irish population.
