The proposed windfarm could power up to 60,000 homes.
A decision is due today on planning for a windfarm in the midlands.
Coolglass Windfarm had proposed to develop 13 wind turbines in Timahoe, Laois.
They are aiming to provide 80MW of renewable energy to the Irish electricity grid, and supply power to 60,000 homes.
Associated works would include access tracks, drainage works and turbine foundations.
Laois County Council will give their final answer today.
