Eight In Ten Driving Instructors Pass "Check Test" Every Time

They are required to do the test every two years.

Nearly eight-in-ten driving instructors pass the 'check test' every time they do it.

Instructors are required to do the test every two years, to show they are capable of doing their jobs.

A survey by the Professional Driving Instructors Association, with 114 participants, found 79% pass every time, while 17% have failed once but never again.  

The results show nearly a third believe the check test shouldn't be required after they qualify.

But, Joe Wynne, of Wynne School of Motoring in Tullamore says it keeps instructors at the top of their game:
