11 ministers have sent a letter urging EU countries to back the law.
If farmers were paid compensation, they would be able to do more about climate change and the environment.
That's according to European Election Candidate for the Midlands North West, Luke Ming Flanagan as a letter has been sent to ministers across the EU urging them to accept the Nature Restoration Law.
The letter has been sent by Minister for the Environment, Eamon Ryan and signed by ministers from 10 other countries.
It follows the withdrawal of a number of countries' support for the law.
