The forced landing of a plane in the midlands is being investigated.
It's after a microlight aircraft had experienced an engine problem, and landed in a field near Limetree in Laois yesterday evening.
The Air Accident Investigation Unit says three inspectors will be on site this morning to examine the aircraft and conduct "other investigative activities.
Gardaí also say they were alerted to the incident yesterday.
In a statement to Midlands 103, the Department of Transport says:
"On the evening of Thursday 7th September, the AAIU was notified that a microlight aircraft had experienced an engine problem and conducted a forced landing in a field near Limetree Co. Laois.
Three inspectors of air accidents are deploying to the site this morning (Friday 8th September) to examine the aircraft and conduct other on-site investigative activities."
