Fund Of €58,000 Being Dedicated To Helping Libraries Reach New Communities

Its part of a wider €650,000 fund nationally.

Midlands libraries are receiving €58,000 in funding to help reach out to "socially-excluded communities".

The money will go towards eight projects, across the region, to provide sensory equipment as well as events and programmes to promote the inclusion of the LGBT+ community, people with disabilities, older people, and those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

It's part of a wider €650,000 funding package from the Department of Rural and Community Development.
