A series of events were held in Abbeyleix last weekend.
A fundrasing effort undertaken by the staff of a Laois hospital has raised over €11,000.
Workers from Abbeyleix hospital waxed, dyed and shaved their hair, did a 20km walk or cycle or a 24 hour fast last Saturday.
A Cuppa & Cake day was held in Manor Stone Garden Centre, in Ballacolla which included an auction for the fund.
The total number raised for the combined events was €11,537.
