Government Will Reopen Society "Slowly And Conservatively"

A midlands junior minister says they're very wary of how quickly the situation could worsen again.

The government will be taking an extremely cautious approach in its reopening of society.

Junior Minister and Longford-Westmeath Fine Gael TD, Peter Burke says they're very wary of the new, more transmissible strains of covid-19 and how quickly the situation could deteriorate if the process is rushed.

The government's Living with COVID plan is being re-drafted, with a new version to be published in two weeks time.
