Grade Inflation Set To Benefit Students Who Deferred College Place In 2024

Inflation as recently as last year was as high as 7%.

There may be a possible loophole in the Department of Education's move to address grade inflation.

The class of 2025 will still see their grades artificially inflated - but only by 5.5% on average, according to a new brief to the Minister for Education, Helen McEntee.

It means the lower rate of inflation may benefit those who chose to defer their college place in 2024.
