Health Minister Criticised For Response Over "Urgent" And "Serious" Need For Offaly Hospice

Stephen Donnelly has repeatedly insisted a decision on the location for the facility will be made shortly.

The Health Minister is being criticised for what's described as a "copy and paste" response in relation to a new hospice for the midlands.

The Department of Health is set to make a decision on the location for the new €20m, 20-bed facility in Tullamore, with sites on Arden Lane and the Wellwood Healthcare Campus on the table.

Stephen Donnelly has insisted in a number of updates over the past five months, that decision would be made "shortly."
