An Offaly dog is being deemed as a hero as he saved his walkers life.
6 year old husky Jake was found as a stray in 2021 and after spending a few months in the care of dogs trust, he was able to find a loving home in January 2022.
When staying at a boarding kennel he was brought for a walk when his dog walker suddenly felt dizzy and fell unconscious, the Husky stayed by her side and barked persistently to attract attention.
Paulina Padlo, from Dogs Trust says Thanks to Jake's quick actions, help arrived, and the dog walker was taken to the hospital to recover:
