Gardaí have recorded high levels of compliance at checkpoints in the midlands since recommencing Operation Fanacht.
Garda presence on roads in the area has been ramped up since Friday's announcement of localised covid restrictions.
172 checkpoints were conducted in the Laois/Offaly and Kildare division last Saturday and Sunday, with a further 202 in surrounding divisions, including Westmeath, Tipperary and Roscommon/Longford.
