Homelessness Figures Expected To Rise Again Today

12,600 people were without permanent accommodation in June, a record number.

The Housing Minister expects the number of people in emergency accommodation to continue to rise.

Last month, it was revealed the number of homeless people in Ireland had hit a record 12,600.

145 adults and 64 children were without permanent accommodation in the midlands in June.

Latest figures from the Department of Housing are due to be released this afternoon.
