Horse Rescued From Offaly River Was Stuck For 24 Hours

It's thought the horse has made a good recovery.

A horse has been rescued from a Offaly river after being stuck for 24 hours.

The ISPCA were alerted by a member of the public with local animal welfare volunteers and a tractor arriving to extract the horse from the scene.

It's believed the horse got into difficulties after several unsuccessful attempts to make its way out and may have been suffering from hypothermia.

It's since been reunited with its owner and is thought to have made a full recovery.
