Laois has seen a year on year jump of 16% in the cost of a home.
The median price of a home in the midlands costs just over €260,000.
All three counties saw an increase in the cost of dwellings in the last three months, when compared to the same period last year, according to the latest Geowox housing report.
The most expensive county for buying a home in the midlands is Laois, with a median cost of €290,000, a rise of 16% on the second quarter for 2023.
Offaly follows at €263,000, and in Westmeath the median price comes in at €251,000.
Houses in the town of Mullingar exceed the rest of Westmeath at €295,000, an increase of just under 22%.
Both Portlaoise and Tullamore saw decreased in the price by 7.2% and 1.2% respectively.
Nationally, the median cost of a dwelling stands at €335,000, a rise of over 5% on the same time a year ago.
