Household Waste Being Dumped Into River In Laois

The pile has been left there for around a month.

Nappies and food waste are being dumped into the River Douglas in Laois.

The pile of rubbish, located near Gael's Bridge in Castletown, has been left there for up to four weeks.

Independent rep Aisling Moran says she was told to leave it and that it being there has made the job of removing it much harder.

Councillor Moran says she wants to see CCTV cameras installed and big fines implemented:
