IFA Warns Of Fake Statement Sent To Media

The release wrongly implied a senior figure would be stepping down.

Media outlets are being warned of a false statement purporting to be from the Irish Farmers Association, wrongly implying that a senior figure would be stepping down.

The bogus press release follows the passing of the EU's Nature Restoration Law, which will impact agriculture in the years ahead.

The IFA says the contents of the email are 'utterly false.'

It also says genuine statements can be viewed on IFA.ie and its official social media channels.
