Kevin Boxer Moran topped the poll in Athlone making his return to politics in Westmeath County Council as he recieved a surplus of more than 2,000 votes in his LEA.
Councillor Moran lead a great campaign by talking to people face to face and staying off social media which lead to great results.
He said he canvassed over 9,000 houses in a 10 week period and knocked on almost every door himself as part of his campaign.
