The event will take place this evening.
Laois County Council are holding a formal reception this evening - in honour of this years Intel Mini Scientist All Ireland Champions.
Tomás Ramsbottom and Emma Burke from Scoil Mhuire Fatima in Timahoe won the competition this year.
Their winning project focused on powering a wireless pacemaker through kinetic energy - and was inspired by a pacemaker Tomás has installed as a baby.
The reception will be held in the County Council Hall tonight at 7:30pm.
