It will see many farmers across the country having less rep tape to cut through.

Irish farmers are welcoming changes to EU deforestation regulations - that will see them dealing with less bureaucracy 

The EU have added a 'no risk' category to the stages of deforestation, which already has high, standard and low levels.

This will mean farmers living in areas not heavily hit by the problem will have less red tape to get through. 

President of the Irish Cattle and Sheep Farmers Association, and Westmeath man Séan McNamara, says this is a common sense step:
