Irish Rail Apologise For Inconvenience Caused By Incident On Train

Gardaí were called to meet the train in Portarlington.

Irish Rail is apologising to customers onboard a train in Laois after an incident yesterday.

Gardaí were called to meet the 5.30pm Heuston to Galway service in Portarlignton, as a result of a passenger engaging in anti-social behaviour.

The train arrived in the town at 6.15pm, and the customer was removed from the service shortly after 6.45pm, with the train resuming its journey 32 minutes late.

Irish Rail says it apologises to customers who were delayed as a result of the incident.
