It’s April Fools’ Day, but for thousands of wheelchair users across Ireland, the daily struggle for access is anything but a joke.
The Irish Wheelchair Association is launching an awareness campaign today to call for full-time, fully resourced Access Officers in every county council.
The IWA also wants meaningful consultation with wheelchair users, and people with disabilities when it comes to the development and construction of facilities.
