Mr. Biden has announced the decision to step away from the US Presidential Election race.

The Junior Foreign Affairs Minister says Joe Biden made the right decision 'for himself' in bowing out of the US Presidential Election race.

Mr. Biden has instead thrown his weight behind Kamala Harris to take the Democratic nomination.

He thinks it's in the best interests of his country and party to step down, but insists he will see out his term of office.
