Laois Commuters Most Likely In Midlands To Benefit From EV Grant Upgrades

A new study has suggested grants based on household income would increase EV sales.

Laois commuters are the most likely to benefit from improved EV supports.

A New Trinity College report reveals the average distance travelled by a single vehicle in Laois is 18,700 kilometers, almost twice of that of Dublin, with the county only making up 2 per cent of Electric Vehicle sales in Ireland.

Westmeath commuters are just behind at 17,700 kilometers, with Kildare taking the top spot at 20,400 kilometers travelled.

The study suggests that offering grants based on household income could increase national EV sales.
