It follows a meeting of councillors which took place last night.
Laois County Council has approved a budget of just under €78.5m for 2020.
It represents a 9% increase on this years budget and is separate to a capital programme - worth €140m to the O'Moore county.
The increase comes despite councillors deciding against raising commercial rates or local property tax.
Homelessness, housing and climate change will be three of the main focuses within the budget.
