Several fire crews in Laois spent Sunday tackling a large gorse fire.
The blaze occurred on Conlawn Hill in Ballyfin and spread rapidly due to the dry weather conditions.
Personnel from Mountrath, Portlaoise, Mountmellick and Rathdowney were called to the scene.
Laois Fire Service are reminding people that the legal burning season has now ended.
